The Devil & theDuck

Therewas a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm.
He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods.
He practiced in the woods; but he could never hit the target.
Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner.

As he was walking back he saw Grandma's pet duck..
Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the headand killed it. He was shocked and grieved!
In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile; only to see his Sisterwatching! Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing.

After lunch the next day Grandma said, 'Sally, let's wash the dishes'
But Sally said, 'Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen.'
Then she whispered to him, "Remember the duck?'
So Johnny did the dishes.

Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grandma said,'I'm sorry but I need Sally to help make supper.'
Sally just smiled and said, 'well that's all right because Johnny told me hewanted to help?
She whispered again, 'Remember the duck?' So Sally went fishing and Johnnystayed to help.

After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's; he finallycouldn't stand it any longer.
He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed the duck.

Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug and said, 'Sweetheart, I know... You see, Iwas standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because I love you, Iforgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave ofyou.'

Thought for the day and every day thereafter:

Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done... And the devil keepsthrowing it up in your face (lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad habits, hatred,anger, bitterness, etc.)....whatever it is...You need to know that:

God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing. He has seen yourwhole life... He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven.He's just wondering how long you will let the devil make a slave of you.

The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness; He not onlyforgives you, but He forgets.

It is by God's grace and mercy that we are saved.

God is at the window!
When Jesus died on the cross; he was thinking of you!

As I started the new year, I was wondering how could I make my life different this time?
To place God FIRST in MY Life
To GIVE THANKS to Him in All CIRCUMSTANCES

To be a BLESSING to Others

I thought about it and I was determined to carry out everything I had placed before me.
But as the weeks gone by,
It wasn't a life after God's heart I was living, I was living by emotions.
I was cautious about how people looked at me. I wanted to live a Godly life, to let people know that I was different...

I'm not sure how much it is true to you.

I was caught up being someone I wasn't

5 years ago, a new cell was formed...

5 years had passed

I'm not sure if you do remember why are we call Sinners 2 Saints.

We are called Sinners 2 Saints simply because of,

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

In my own opinion, why we chose to use the number "2" instead of "to" is because we as humans are constantly Sinning, although we are in Christ and we are a new creation, we still fall into sin.

2 helps us to remember that we are Sinners yet Saints at the same time all together.

As we continue to work towards being a Saint daily in our lives, let us not forget that as much as we want to, we cant depend on ourselves but with the help of God all things are possible.

Let us not be dishearten, but continue to spur each other on towards love and good deeds.
